The
Women in Jazz Concert Series was held Friday, September 24 and Saturday,
September 25, 8 PM at the Helm Fine Art Center, St. Stephen's Episcopal
School.

Both evenings were supported by an outstanding combo featuring James
Polk, Thomas Hughes, Dexter Walker, Mike Stevens, Mike Malone, and Kerry
Wilkins.
The workshop sessions accompanying this concert series featured Mady
Kaye, with a session on Jazz Vocal Performance, and Pamela Hart with a
session on Developing Your Singing Career.
The Women in Jazz Concert Series is a non-profit project produced by
HartBeat Productions and is sponsored by DiverseArts Production Group
and Austin Chronicle. Under the umbrella of Women & Their Work, Women
in Jazz is funded in part by the City of Austin and the Texas Commission
on the Arts.
